Terms of Service
The agreement between you and PDFDock. Plain language, fair terms, no surprises.
Last updated: 8 July 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the PDFDock website, tools, and any related services (together, the "Service"), operated by PDFDock ("PDFDock," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use PDFDock. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
2. The Service
PDFDock provides browser-based tools for working with PDF and image files. A defining feature of the Service is that document processing happens locally, in your browser, on your device. We provide the tools; you retain full control of your files at all times. We work hard to keep the Service reliable and accurate, but the wide variety of files and browsers means we cannot guarantee a specific result for every document.
3. Your account
The core tools require no account. If you create an optional account for saved presets or a paid plan, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use PDFDock lawfully and to respect others. Prohibited conduct, including processing documents you have no right to use, creating fraudulent files, or attempting to disrupt the Service, is described in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Your content
Your files are yours. Because they are processed locally and never uploaded, we claim no ownership of, and acquire no license to, the documents you work with on PDFDock. You are solely responsible for the content you process and for ensuring you have the rights to do so.
6. Plans, billing, and renewals
PDFDock offers a free tier and optional paid plans (currently Pro and Team). Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Fees are exclusive of taxes where applicable. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by PDFDock and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer for the purpose of building a competing product, or misuse our trademarks without permission. PDFDock is built on open-source components, each governed by its own license.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your requirements. Always keep a backup of important documents before processing them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFDock will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Because processing occurs on your own device, you retain control of your files throughout. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PDFDock harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
11. Termination
You may stop using PDFDock at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm to us or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will continue to apply.
12. Changes
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PDFDock operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable local law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
